When your pet gets sick or hurt suddenly, the vet bills can be overwhelming. Our Medical Assistance Program helps Big Island families who are struggling to afford emergency veterinary care. We provide grants for emergency and life-saving treatment ONLY, paid directly to your vet, when you cannot cover the full cost on your own.
This program is funded in part by the John R. Peterson Foundation and benefits vulnerable and underserved communities of Hawaii.
We receive more applications than we can fund, so not everyone will be approved. That said, every application is carefully considered, and we encourage you to apply if you are in need.
