Sometimes things happen beyond our control that effect our ability to keep a pet. It could be a new child in the family, new job, illness or a move to a new home. Whatever the circumstance, it is never an easy decision to re-home a pet. If you have exhausted all other options and you feel that surrendering your pet is the best option please contact us.
Any dog surrendered to Aloha Ilio Rescue is placed into a foster home where they are evaluated and nurtured until a suitable adopter is located. All potential adopters are screened and "home checks" conducted if necessary. The dogs are evaluated by a Vet, brought up to date on their vaccines, spayed/neutered if they are not already fixed and micro chipped.
All dogs that are adopted through Aloha Ilio Rescue are required by contract to be returned to us if the adopter for any reason cannot keep the animal. This means that your pet will always have a place at Aloha Ilio Rescue if necessary.
There is a surrender fee of $50 if your dog is up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped, spayed and/or neutered. A $100 fee if they are not. This fee is to assist in fostering, any medical expenses and re-homing of your pet. It also guarantees a spot at Aloha Ilio Rescue should anything happen to the adoptees and they are unable to keep the dog.
